“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.” - Psalm 126:5

Men whom God uses in bringing revival have certain characteristics.

First, they are men of faith. They plough and sow in hope. They have the confidence that their labor in the Lord would not be in vain but soon they would return bringing their sheaves with them.

Secondly, they are men of labor. They do not mind the burden and heat of the day. All they are and all they possess they freely offer to the Lord, keeping back nothing. They know what it is like to be in weariness and pain, in hunger and thirst, in fasting, in cold and nakedness. They do not labor out of compulsion nor do they complain of their hardship and suffering. But, they work joyfully, surrendering all to Him who has loved them and has washed them from their sins by His own blood.

Thirdly, they are men of patience. They are not discouraged though they have to labor long without seeing all the fruit they desire. They keep on sowing day after day.

Fourthly, they are men of boldness and determination. They are as bold as lions. Even if the enemy contends and opposes, they press forward not being terrified by difficulty or opposition.

Fifthly, they are men of prayer. They spend more time alone with God, replenishing their own souls from the Living Fountain so that out of their life would flow to the people rivers of living water. Nothing matters the most than the sweet hour of prayer.

Dear friends, shall we rise up to men and women of revival? Let us prevail in prayer, let us have faith, with patience and perseverance let us march on boldly with Jesus as our Captain.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, when the world today is desperately in need of spiritual awakening let me not just fold my hands, or timidly shrink back but let me be prepared to fight the battle as a dutiful Christian soldier, snatch the dying souls from hell and lead them to the love of Christ. Amen.
