Dearly Beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. By His grace God has given us a new month, and let us gladly enter into it with thanksgiving and praise.
We are living in end times. The whole world is plunging in sin deeper and deeper. Sin is growing and spreading its ugly tentacles, gripping the young and the old, the rich and the poor, and all those who yield to its temptations. At this hour, we as believers need to be very alert and cautious, not to fall prey to its deceitfulness. We cannot do it with our strength or will power, but only by relying on the power of the Holy Spirit and by standing firm on the Word of God - the anchor of our soul. In Ephesians 4:1, Paul writes, “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received,” and in verse 3 he writes, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” The word “worthy” means “equal weight” - one’s calling and conduct should be in balance. Paul lists here four virtues that are to enhance a believer’s walk - humility, gentleness and patience, bearing one another in love. We should avoid conflicts and confrontations, quickly forgive one another, guarding the unity of the Spirit. To not guard this unity certainly grieves the Holy Spirit.
This month’s devotions are mostly on “revival.” Revival is initiated by God. It stirs up lifeless souls. Campbell Morgan writes, “Revival is God bending down to the dying embers of a fire that is just about to go out, and breathing into it until it bursts again into flame.” We are living in an age where the believers and the churches are sleeping. There is need for revival in an unusually urgent way. How careless we had been in reading God’s Word, in prevailing in prayer and in living holy lives! How selfish we are in deliberately hardening our hearts and not showing any concern toward the perishing souls! Let us come out of our complacency. Let us plead God to forgive our arrogance.
It is our hope and prayer that all those who read these devotions will surely awaken to the desperate need of the hour. May the Holy Spirit revive our personal lives, our churches and bring great change in our nation as we celebrate the 79th Independence Day.

அன்பானவர்களே,
நம் ஆண்டவரும் இரட்சகருமாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் விலையேறப்பெற்ற நாமத்தினாலே உங்கள் அனைவரையும் வாழ்த்துகிறோம்! கர்த்தரின் கிருபையினால் ஒரு புதிய மாதத்துக்குள் நுழைகிறோம். எனவே, நன்றியறிதலோடும் துதியோடும் அதற்குள் நாம் நுழைவோமாக.
கடைசி காலங்களில் நாம் வாழ்கிறோம். முழு உலகமும் மிகவும் ஆழமாக பாவத்துக்குள் மூழ்கிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. பாவமானது, இளைஞரையும் முதியோரையும், செல்வந்தரையும் ஏழைகளையும், அதன் சோதனைக்குப் பணிகிற யாவரையும், தன் கோரமான கரங்களால் அழுத்தமாகப் பிடித்துக்கொள்கிறது. இந்த நேரத்தில், விசுவாசிகளாகிய நாம் அதன் வஞ்சகத்துக்கு இரையாகாதபடி அதிகக் கவனத்துடனும், எச்சரிக்கையுடனும் இருக்கவேண்டும். நம் சொந்த பெலத்தினாலோ அல்லது மனத்திண்மையினாலோ செய்யமுடியாது, ஆனால், ஆத்தும நங்கூரமாகிய தேவ வார்த்தையில் உறுதியாய் நின்றால் செய்யமுடியும். எபேசியர் 4:1ல் பவுல், *நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்ட அழைப்புக்குப் பாத்திரவான்களாய் நடந்து ...* என்று எழுதுகிறார். 3ம் வசனத்தில், சமாதானக்கட்டினால் ஆவியின் ஒருமையைக் காத்துக்கொள்வதற்கு ஜாக்கிரதையாயிருங்கள் என்கிறார். பாத்திரவான்களாய் என்பதற்கு சம எடை என்று பொருள் - அதாவது, ஒருவர் அழைக்கப்பட்ட அழைப்பும் அவருடைய நடக்கையும் சமமாக இருக்கவேண்டும். ஒரு விசுவாசியின் நடத்தை மென்மேலும் திறம்படுவதற்கு நான்கு குணாதிசயங்களை குறிப்பிடுகிறார் பவுல் - மனத்தாழ்மை, சாந்தம், பொறுமை மற்றும் ஒருவரையொருவர் அன்பினால் தாங்குதல். சண்டை சச்சரவுகளை நாம் தவிர்க்கவேண்டும், துரிதமாக ஒருவரையொருவர் மன்னிக்க வேண்டும், ஆவியின் ஒருமையை காத்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.
இந்த மாதத்தின் தினதியானங்கள் பெரும்பாலும் எழுப்புதலைக்குறித்தே இருக்கின்றன. எழுப்புதலைத் தேவன்தாமே துவங்குகிறார். எழுப்புதல் உயிரற்ற ஆத்துமாக்களைத் தூண்டியெழுப்புகிறது. கேம்ப்பெல் மார்கன், சீக்கிரத்தில் அணையப்போகும் மங்கியெரிகிற தழல்களை நோக்கி தேவன் இறங்கிவந்து, அவை மறுபடியும் தீப்பிழம்பாய் வெடித்Øழுகின்ற வரை அவற்றின்மேல் ஊதுகிறார்! என்று எழுதுகிறார். நாம் வாழும் இந்தக் காலக்கட்டத்தில் அநேக விசுவாசிகளும் சபைகளும் உறங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இன்றைய தேவை அசாதாரணமான அவசர எழுப்புதல்! தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையை வாசிப்பதில், ஜெபத்தில் தரித்திருப்பதில், பரிசுத்த வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதில் நாம் எவ்வளவு கவனக்குறைவாய் இருந்திருக்கிறோம்! நம் இருதயங்களை வேண்டுமென்றே கடினப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு, அழிந்துபோகும் ஆத்துமாக்களைக் குறித்து கவலைப்படாமல் சுயநலம் மிக்கவர்களாய் இருக்கிறோம்! நம் திருப்தியடைந்த மனநிலையை விட்டு நாம் வெளியே வரவேண்டும். நம்முடைய இந்த இறுமாப்பை தேவன் மன்னிக்கும்படி அவரிடத்தில் நாம் கெஞ்சி மன்றாடுவோம்.
இந்த தினதியானங்களை வாசிக்கின்ற அனைவருமே இந்தக் காலத்தின் அவசிய, அவசரத் தேவையை உணர்ந்தவர்களாய் எழும்பவேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் நிச்சயமாய் நம்பி, அதற்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்கின்றோம். 79வது சுதந்திர நாளை நாம் கொண்டாடும் இந்நாட்களில் நம் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்வையும், நம் சபைகளையும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர்தாமே உயிர்ப்பித்து, தேசத்தில் பெரிய மாற்றத்தை கொண்டுவருவாராக.
இந்த ஊழியத்தை தயவாக உங்கள் ஜெபங்களில் தொடர்ந்து தாங்கும்படி கேட்கிறோம். கர்த்தர்தாமே உங்கள் அனைவரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக.
