Dearly Beloved in Christ,
We wish you all a bright, peaceful and joyful New Year 2026. May the coming days - by the grace of God - strengthen our faith, deepen our prayer life and renew our love for God’s Word. When Moab rebelled against Joram, King of Israel, he asked the help of Jehoshaphat, King of Judah and the King of Edom to fight against Moab. As the 3 combined armies marched through the wilderness, they ran out of water. Jehoshaphat and the other two kings went to the prophet Elisha to inquire the Lord.
Elisha prophesied under the Spirit’s influence, and he said, “Make this valley full of ditches.” For this is what the Lord says, “You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord.” (II Kings 3: 16-18) Note here that the army was first commanded to make trenches. God does not begin by sending them rain. He begins by commanding action! God’s ways are not man’s ways. (Isaiah 55: 8,9) This must have made no sense - to dig trenches in a parched valley before any sign of rain appeared! The soldiers were worn out, exhausted and dehydrated, and yet God was charging them to work hard at digging trenches in an arid land, which probably had rocky soil! Imagine hearing these words, “You will not feel any wind or see any rain.” There would be no evidence of rain, but the trenches they dug would be filled with water. Clearly, this would require a step of faith and obedience. When the people obeyed God, He did a series of miracles - first, water in the ditches; second, water enough for armies and animals, and third, handing over Moab to the armies! This is too trivial matter in the Lord’s eyes.
Dear friends, God calls us to take a step of faith this year even though it does not seem to make sense. He calls us to walk by faith, not by sight. (II Corinthians 5: 7) He will not only address the immediate problem - of providing our need, but He will also do more than we ask - of destroying the Moab - our enemies. So, let us enter into this New Year with confidence.
Remember - Human impossibilities does not stop divine resources. What overwhelms us is simple for Him. Our hearts swell with gratitude to know that these devotions are read by thousands and thousands all over the globe. All glory to God.

அன்பானவர்களே,
உங்களுக்கு எங்கள் இனிய புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துக்கள்.
இந்த 2026 தேவகிருபையால் நமக்கு பிரகாசமான, சமாதானமான, சந்தோஷமான ஆண்டாய் அமையட்டும், நம் விசுவாசத்தைப் பெலப்படுத்தட்டும், நம் ஜெப வாழ்க்கையை ஆழமாக்கட்டும், தேவவாத்தையின் மேல் நம் வாஞ்சையைப் புதுப்பிக்கட்டும்.
இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா யோராமுக்கு விரோதமாக மோவாப் எழும்பினபோது அவனைஎதிர்த்துப் போரிட யோராம், யூதாவின் ராஜா யோசபாத், ஏதோமின் ராஜா ஆகியோரின் உதவியை நாடினான். அந்த மூன்று ராஜாக்களும், அவர்கள் படைகளும் வனாந்தர வழியாகச் செல்கையில் அவர்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் இல்லாமல் போயிற்று.யோசபாத்தும், மற்ற இரண்டு ராஜாக்களும், ஆண்டவர் என்ன உரைக்கிறார் எனக் கேட்க தீர்க்கதரிசி எலிசாவிடம் சென்றார்கள். எலிசா ஆவியானவரின் பெலத்தினால் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து, இந்தப் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே எங்கும் வாய்க்கால்களை வெட்டுங்கள். நீங்கள் காற்றையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள், மழையையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் நீங்களும் உங்கள் ஆடுமாடுகளும் உங்கள் மிருக ஜீவன்களும் குடிக்கும்படிக்கு, இந்த பள்ளத்தாக்கு தண்ணீரால் நிரப்பப்படும். இது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு அற்ப காரியம்
(2 இராஜாக்கள் 3:16,17) என்று கூறினான்.நாம் கவனிக்க வேண்டியது,
முதலில் இராணுவவீரர்களுக்கு வாய்க்கால்களை வெட்டும்படி கட்டளை கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. தேவன் ஆரம்பத்திலேயே மழையை அனுப்பவில்லை. முதலாவது அவர்கள் செயல்படவேண்டும் என
கட்டளையிட்டார். கர்த்தரின் வழிகள் நம் வழிகள் அல்ல. (ஏசாயா55:8,9) வனாந்தரத்தில் வாய்க்கால்களை தோண்டுவதில் (மழைக்கு அறிகுறியே இல்லாதபோது) எந்த அர்த்தமும் இல்லையென்று அவர்களுக்குத்தோன்றியிருக்கும். ஏற்கனவே, படைவீரர்கள் களைத்துப்போய் தாகத்தில் நாவறண்டு போனார்கள். ஆயினும், வறண்ட பாலைவனத்தில், கஷ்டப்பட்டு வேலை செய்து, பள்ளங்களை தோண்டும்படி தேவன் கூறினார். நீங்கள் காற்றையும் உணரமாட்டீர்கள்,மழையையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள் என்ற வார்த்தைகளை சற்று யோசித்துப்பாருங்கள். மழைக்கான எந்தவித சாத்தியக்கூறும் இல்லை. ஆனால், அவர்கள் வெட்டும் வாய்க்கால்கள் தண்ணீரால் நிரம்பும்!இதை நம்புவதற்கு அவர்களுக்கு விசுவாசமும், கீழ்ப்படிதலும், அவசியம்! தேவனுக்கு அவர்கள் கீழ்ப்படிந்தவுடன், அவர் தொடர்ச்சியான அற்புதங்களைச் செய்தார்.
முதலில், பள்ளங்களில் தண்ணீர் நிரம்பியது!
இரண்டாவது, மக்கள், படைவீரர், மிருகஜீவன்களுக்கு வேண்டிய தண்ணீர் கிடைத்தது!
மூன்றாவது, மோவாப் அவர்களுக்குக் கையளிக்கப்பட்டது!
இது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு மிக அற்பமான காரியம்!
அன்பானவர்கவர்களே, இந்த வருடத்தில், அர்த்தமற்றதாய் நமக்குத் தெரிந்தாலும், விசுவாசத்தில் அடியெடுத்துவைக்க தேவன் நம்மை
அழைக்கிறார். தரிசித்து நடவாமல், விசுவாசித்து நடக்க நம்மை அழைக்கிறார்.(2 கொரிந்தியர் 5:6) நாம் கேட்பதைக்காட்டிலும் மிக அதிகமாய்ச் செய்கிறவர் நம் தேவன்! நமது உடனடி தேவைகளைச் சந்திப்பதோடு, நம் எதிராளிகளனா மோவாபியரை அழித்து, நமக்கு அவர் ஜெயம் தருவார். எனவே, இந்த புத்தாண்டில் நம்பிக்கையுடன் நுழைவோம். மனுஷர் கண்களுக்கு சாத்தியமற்றதாகக் காணப்படும் காரியங்கள் தேவ நன்மைகளைத் தடுக்கமுடியாது. நமக்கு மிகையாய் தோன்றுவது அவருக்கு எளிது!
இந்த தினதியானங்கள் உலகம் முழுதும் ஆயிரங்களால் வாசிக்கப்படுவதை அறியும்போது உள்ளம் நன்றியால் பொங்குகிறது. தேவனுக்கே மகிமை! இந்தப் புத்தாண்டில் அநேகருக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்து ஆண்டவரது வார்த்தையைப் பரப்புவதில் எங்களுடன் இணைந்து செயல்படுங்கள். கர்த்தர்தாமே உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக.
