Read : Luke 17: 5-6; Mark 11:22-24

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” - Hebrews 11:1

“Faith is greater than what we see. It is knowing God’s answer before we see it. It is walking in the victory before it arrives. We walk in faith knowing God will do it, not hoping He might do it. Having received His answer in prayer, we will know beyond all doubt that He will do it as we obey Him. We will see this answer unfold before our very eyes,” writes Suzanne Pillans. How do we get this faith? We get it through prayer and hearing the Word of God. Prayer becomes more and more wonderful as we get to know God more and more. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ”. Once we get faith we should become rooted and established in our faith. In Colossians 2: 6-7, Paul says, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Next, we should put our faith into practice. Just talking about having faith in God is not enough. We should apply faith every day of our lives in every way, physical as well as supernatural. We need to face the traits of life with the positive faith that God gives us. We need to be steadfast and strong so that the problems of life would no longer press us down; but by faith we would use them as stepping stones to victory and triumph in Christ Jesus.

Dear friends, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of our faith, and grow in our faith each day. Let us, through our faith, accomplish great and marvelous things for the glory of God’s holy name. Amen.

PRAYER:  Heavenly Father, as I read Your Word, let me grow and become strong in faith.  When I face trials, let me put my faith in You into action and come out victoriously.  Let me not doubt Your promises, but wait and see Your power manifesting in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
