“The Lord looked ...  He saw ...  He was appalled that there was no one to intervene.” - Isaiah 59:15, 16

We will be able to see revival in our country, community and church only if we have clean hands and pure hearts. We must humble ourselves before God and be able to intercede in His holy presence for others.  This means that we have to confess every sin of ours, turn away from every wickedness and surrender ourselves totally to Christ.  Revival must be the dominating desire of our life.  ‘’What God is seeking today, as in Bible days, is not a people with outward sign of respectability and church attendance, not even scholastic preachers whose names are known nationwide, but those whose hearts are burdened and broken, and whose eyes are red with weeping before Him, because of the sins and abominations of the cities,” writes Owen Murphy

Dear friends, the world today needs such praying men.  Are we willing to offer ourselves to such travailing prayer?  Intercession is the most difficult ministry because it demands time and commitment.  In the midst of our daily busy schedule at home and at work place, we have to make time for waiting before God.  Owen Murphy writes, “Irrespective of the godless world outside, irrespective of the many who are indifferent and the very few who would stand with us, emptied of self, we must throw every bit of energy into desperate travailing intercession, until God hears from heaven and our lands are swept by the burning, cleaning flame of Holy Ghost revival.”  Are we prepared to face this challenge?  When we make a decision, the Lord will honor it and give us strength and grace to carry it out.  After all, it is His work and He has chosen us to be His instruments in order to revive the dying world.  Amen.

PRAYER: Dear Lord,  create in me a clean heart. Give me a broken and humble spirit. Even if I were  the only one who would weep and pray, let me not become faint but help me to be persistent and keep on praying in the spirit until a revival breaks out and sweeps my church and my country. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
