“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God. ...” (Psalm 14:1) Bishop Thorbum was once crossing the Indian Ocean in a boat in which two British women were travelling. Every day they used to argue about atheism with Bishop Thorbum. As the journey neared its end, one of the women said, “Bishop, we do not wish to be impertinent, but we wonder how you could listen respectfully to our argument for so long without being convinced.” The Bishop said, “Madam, I have greatly enjoyed your conversation. I have never heard the case for atheism more brilliantly presented before. There is no more likelihood of convincing me of the non-existence of God than of the non existence of myself. For I have known God for forty years!” People attribute various reasons for believing that there is no God.

Many say that there is no God, simply because they do not want to admit the existence of the One who knows all, sees all, and hears all.

Dear friends, God gave man free will, the power to choose Him or not to choose Him. Pathetically, many chose to either ignore God or to disbelieve Him. Do not be deceived. God is real. He is mighty and He is wonderful. The first step in bringing God into your life is a step of faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, “Anyone who comes to Him (God) must believe that He exists.” The salvation of God is available to all without exception - to all who repent of their past sins and accept the Lord Jesus Christ in their lives. So draw near to Jesus now and accept Him as your Lord. And from that very moment, you will be born into the family of God and will have a spiritual relationship with the heavenly Father. Do not dare to shut off your life to your heavenly Father, to the Creator, the Maker of heaven and earth.

PRAYER : Lord, I pray at this time for all those who say that God does not exist. How sad it is to know that they have misused the power You have given them by rejecting You as their Lord. Please meet them, Lord; reveal Yourself to them and draw them to Your side. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
