“For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end.” - Psalm 48:14

There is constant change taking place all around us in every area. The earth that we live in now, its inhabitants, its vegetation, its geographical condition, etc. are all quite different from what were created in the beginning. But, God is the same, He is unchangeable. This fact brings us great comfort because He is greater than everything and everyone. He is Almighty. He is infinitely wise and discerning. He has power and authority, and dominion over all things. He is omniscient. He sees all, hears all and knows all. He is omnipotent. He is all powerful. He can do everything. He is omnipresent. He is everywhere. We cannot limit God. He is the Lord for all generations.

His promises made thousands of years ago still hold good. They never become outdated. He who promised Abraham that He would bless his offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky is the same today to bless us and our generations. He who delivered the Israelites from the bondage of Egypt, He who guided them and protected them by pillars of cloud and fire in their wilderness journey, and He who brought them safely to Canaan is the same today to guide us and protect us all through our lives. He who provided Elijah with bread and meat through the ravens in the desert is the same to provide us every day of our lives. He who protected Daniel in the lion’s den is the same to protect us from the enemy, Satan.

Haldon Lillenas writes as follows: “He promised to keep me so safe in His fold, that no one should lead me astray. His arms everlasting will ever uphold, and He will be with me always.” So dear friends, let us trust our unchanging God, place our hands in His and walk with Him everyday.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, yes, everything around me changes. People whom I trust suddenly become hostile, my bank balance keeps decreasing, my body becomes weaker, but since You are the unchanging God who is controlling all these, I am confident that I too will not be shaken. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
