“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” - Hebrews 10: 23

Remaining steadfast in faith is not always easy. Life brings unexpected trials, long waits, and moments of silence from heaven. Yet the Word of God calls us not to waver. We are reminded that faith is not built on feelings or favourable outcomes, but on the unchanging character of God. He who promised is faithful - even when our prayers seem unanswered, and when our strength grows weak. As Charles Spurgeon once said, “God is too good to be unkind, and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.”

Dear friends, do not be discouraged when your faith is tested.  Tests are opportunities to grow deeper roots in the soil of God’s Word.  Job, in the Old Testament, endured the loss of his family, wealth, and health, yet remained steadfast in his faith.  In the end, the Lord restored him and honored his perseverance.  In I Corinthians 15:58, Paul exhorts us: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.  Let nothing move you. ...”  Steadfastness is not passive endurance but active trust.  It means holding on to hope when the night is long, obeying God when results are not visible, and continuing to walk even when the path is unclear.  God often does His deepest work in us during seasons of waiting.  Faith that stands firm in the dark will shine brighter in the light.  Let us remain anchored not in what we see, but in whom we believe.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me remain firm in faith when challenges arise. Teach me to trust Your promises and walk with confidence, knowing that You are always faithful. Strengthen me to stand unwavering in hope. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
