Saturday, March 07 || STEPS TOWARD SHARING THE GOSPEL (1)!

“... Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

- Mark 16:15

The following are the guidelines for effective evangelisation.

First - Be sure that you are saved. A person cannot give others something which he does not have! Ephesians 2: 8,9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that none can boast.” If you have not received this free gift of God, first confess your sins to God and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart.

Second - Be sure you have no unconfessed sin in your life. Be sure to confess your sins everyday to God. I John 1: 9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Be cleansed by the blood of Jesus before you venture out to share the good news. Without this, your sharing would be weak and without substance.

Third - Be controlled by the Holy Spirit. We are born again by the Spirit. (John 3:6) This is only a beginning. We need to grow in our spiritual life. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to be a witness for Christ. Acts 1:8 says, ”You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be my witnesses.” The disciples were able to be powerful witnesses for the Lord even amidst persecution, because they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Dear friends, we are living in the end times and sharing the gospel is the need of the hour now. It is an urgent matter. Let us not neglect the great responsibility the Lord has given to us. May the Lord strengthen us to stand as a powerful witness for Him.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for talking with me today. Forgive me and cleanse me of all my sins by the blood of Jesus. Let not my sins stand as a barrier and prevent soul-winning. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and help me to be a powerful witness for Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
