Saturday, February 07 || WHAT WOULD HAPPEN WHEN CHRIST RETURNS?

"... Watch out that no one deceives you. ... the Son of Man (will be) coming in clouds with great power and glory" - Mark 13:5, 26

In this age of Science and Technology, many people find it difficult to believe that Christ will return to this earth once again. But the Bible clearly states of this incident which is sure to happen any time, may be even today! What would happen to the believers when Christ returns? Firstly, upon His coming in the air, those who have died in Christ will rise. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-16) Until then the bodies of the believers who have passed out of this world "sleep in the dust of the earth." (Daniel 12:2) Secondly, following the resurrection of the dead in Christ, the bodies of living believers will be changed from their present state into the likeness of Christ. Our Lord Jesus "will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body." (Philippians 3:21) This new body will be incorruptible, imperishable, glorious and powerful. (1 Corinthians 15:42-43) Our days of weariness and weakness will end forever. We will be clothed with all the glory and power that pertains to the heavenly world. When Jesus was being glorified on the Mount of Transfiguration, His face shone as the sun, and His garments became as "white as the light." (Matthew 17:2) Our bodies will be like His! Through this, it would be obvious that we are the children of God. Before His incarnation Christ was in the form of God, and we will also be in this form when we receive our resurrected bodies at His return!

Dear friends, for those who know Him personally, Hi return will not be dreadful, but it would rather be a day of joy, transformation and reunion. Are we preparing ourselves for this great occasion

PRAYER: Dear Lord, the world may find it hard to believe of the second coming of the Lord Jesus and the events associated with it. Let me not become complacent, but prepare myself for this great and glorious event and wait for it with eager expectation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
