Prayer is a battle ground. We are the soldiers and the weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Our enemy is Satan. Our struggle is against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) It would be foolish to fight this battle if we do not wear the whole armor of God. And this armor is not complete without prayer. It is persistent prayer that baffles the enemy and breaks the spell of his power over the souls of men.

As we pray, God works. He sends more workers into His harvest field. (Luke 10:2)

As we pray, He empowers and equips His servants to be used mightily in His Work.

As we pray, the doors which are closed for gospel will be opened and there will be deliverance of souls from the bondage of sin.

As we pray, there will be mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a great revival will break out.

So, dear friends, let us be faithful in prayer.  We may not be called to preach but we all can pray. Let us not become complacent. Daily, hourly and untiringly, let us pray to God to save our unsaved children, spouses, relatives, neighbours and all those who are unyielding and indifferent to Christ and His gospel.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Luke 22:44 says, that Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane until His sweat came as great drops of blood and fell down to the ground! How weak and shallow is my prayer! Help me to pray ceaselessly and untiringly for the salvation of people. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
