Friday, September 12 || HE KEPT US ALL THE WAY

“... During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.” - Deuteronomy 29: 5 NIV

How amazing is the faithfulness of God! For forty long years, the Israelites wandered through a dry and barren land. Yet in that wilderness, they lacked nothing.

Their clothes did not wear out, their sandals held firm, and their needs were sustained day after day. And still, Israel often rebelled - doubting God’s goodness, complaining against His plans, and turning their hearts towards idols. But even in their unfaithfulness,

God remained faithful.

He was working behind the scenes, preserving them even when they grumbled, guiding them even when they strayed.

Dear friends, we, too, walk through seasons where we feel like we’re wandering - uncertain, weary, and often questioning the way forward.  But God is still faithful.  He sustains us with daily provision, protects us with unseen mercy, preserves us in ways we do not fully perceive, and proves His goodness in every season.  As Lamentations 3:22 says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.”  He doesn’t always change the wilderness - but He always walks with us through it.  Let us look back and remember: How many times has He carried us when our strength failed?  How often has He made a way when none seemed possible?  He is the God who keeps His people - not just for a day, but all the way.  May our hearts be stirred to praise Him, and our steps be steadied by trusting Him.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness even when I falter. Let me not be ungrateful and unfaithful, but help me to trust Your provision and remember how You have kept me every step of the way. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
