Van Payne underwent a major surgery, and during that operation he had this experience - “I found myself standing in front of a bridge over a stream and on the other side was a green meadow. And there was a small hill on which was standing a man. His arms were stretched out toward me. He was wearing a dazzling white robe. He was smiling at me. His eyes seemed to look right through me into my soul. There was perfect love in them. Could this be Jesus Christ? I thought. I saw His hands and His feet. There were scars on the palms and on His insteps. I was stunned. “I’m in the presence of the Lord! I’m not worthy.” As we stood there, I knew that everything that had ever happened to me, the joys, the failures, the sufferings, the sin were somehow centered on Jesus Christ, and that because He is with me there was no need to worry. I thought, I must tell this to everybody. At this point Jesus told me to go back as there was something I still had to do. But I told Him, “I don’t think I can handle it. I’m incapable.” “You will do it,” came the gentle words of Jesus. After recovering from the surgery, he committed his life to Jesus and shared his supernatural experience to the prisoners in the Cobb County jail. Because of this, many accepted Jesus as their Savior.

Dear friends, the Lord has performed miracles in our lives so that we would stand as witnesses for Him and glorify His name among the unsaved. Let us never fail to make use of every opportunity that comes our way - till our last breath.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You have done great things in my life so that I would share my testimony to others and lead them to You. Let me understand this and do Your Kingdom work diligently till my last breath. In Jesus, the Savior’s name I pray. Amen
