Read : I Peter 4:12-16 “However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.” - I Peter 4:16 It is painful to see many Christians these days who want to receive only the blessings from the Lord, but are not willing to participate in His sufferings.  In Philippians 1:29 Paul says, “For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for Him.” “If we endure, we will also reign with Him.”
