The Gideons International is an Association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating together for service, sharing personal testimony, and by providing Bibles and New Testaments. While we are often recognized for our work with hotels, we also place and distribute Scriptures in strategic locations so they are available to those who want them, as well as to those who may not know they need them.

One Spirit, One Mind, One Vision Striving Side by Side for the Faith of the Gospel

We are God-called members, brothers and sisters in Christ, husbands along with our wives—striving side by side to effectively and joyfully reach the world with the Good News.

One Vision means working in one spirit and one mind with these three groups:

Christian business and professional men
Our wives, as a testimony to the Biblical institution of marriage
Protestant, Evangelical churches and assemblies as partners in the Great Commission.

Testimony

One New Testament transformed the entire family into Christ

A couple of years back, In trade fair, a Muslim family consisting of siblings visited the event. As they explored the various stalls, they came across the Gideon Bible Stall, where they were offered a copy of the New Testament. The children accepted the New Testament, but as soon as their father noticed this, he became upset and reprimanded them. He insisted that they return the book immediately. Obediently, the son returned the New Testament to the stall. However, the daughter, feeling a deep sense of curiosity and conviction, discreetly wrapped the New Testament in her shawl and took it home.

This young girl had been suffering from intellectual disabilities for the past 12 years. Her family had taken her to numerous doctors, seeking treatment and hoping for a cure, but despite all their efforts, there was no improvement in her condition.On the very day she brought the New Testament home, she unwrapped it, gazed at it for a while, and then, miraculously, she began to read it. As she read, God’s Word spoke to her in a profound way, and an extraordinary transformation took place—she was completely healed! The girl, who had been struggling for years without any medical breakthrough, was now restored by the power of God’s Word.

Filled with joy and gratitude, her family decided to arrange her marriage. As the preparations progressed, they visited a shop to select wedding invitation cards. While browsing, she noticed a New Testament placed inside the shop. Deeply moved, she immediately inquired how the New Testament had come to be there. She then met the owner of the shop and eagerly shared her testimony—how reading the New Testament had changed her life, leading to her miraculous healing.

Today, she stands as a living testimony of God’s power, and through this one New Testament, not only was her life transformed, but her entire family came to salvation.
